IMO: Sherritt#1 is currently located in Block 21A-P, drilling an exploratory well in the Pina oilfield for Petro Australia Energy (an unlisted explorer, who will list in 2025 hence the need to spark some interest with some oil shows). Petro seem to be running on the smell of an oily rag (pun intended) so I can't see then sidetracking or drilling a secondary well: their only objective is oil in the shakers, so to speak (and not to flow or produce, at this stage). With this in mind, I believe that the original timeline of late September 2024 for the Sherritt#1 release is still roughly correct, and we will see mobilisation to Pad2 (located on an adjacent seismic line to Amistad-1 in an up-dip location) in October 2024. Pad2 was already approved, and I assume that pad preparations are underway as we speak.
It's this sort of detail that I want the company to confirm (along with an update of the A2/A3 remediation program).
