Never stood a chance with Euro trash politics dominating the process, TV rights/viewing hours for Europe and the US always had our bid on the backfoot and I thought the US was the frontrunner.

Still, Qatar was a shocking choice... even with the ludicrous notion of air-con stadiums, what are visiting spectators to do between games?? joyride around on a camel in the desert in 45deg temps, maybe they'll build some of those indoor ski slopes or indoor beaches for the price it would take to resolve world hunger.... what a a joke, hope this decision comes back to bite FIFA on the bum.
