That is exactly my concern, for an open pit mine to be economical it has been proven in many countries outside Australia where labour and input materials are much cheaper that 100+ meters of pre strip doesn’t not constitute a deposit worth throwing money at because the rate of return doesn’t outweigh the risk. The majority of sun silvers deposit actually lies well and truly beneath the surface around 200 meters below surface.
