Coincidentally, USSR is also the country that was one of the sides of the Winter War. The Russian Federation most certainly didn't exist in 1939-1940. While USSR did suffer heavy casualties. the USSR objective of pushing the Finnish border back away from Leningrad was ultimately achieved.
