EV fires in USA - 33 on average per year
ICE fires in USA - 230,000 on average per year
Hmm, something tells me where there’s smoke there’s fire. ICE fire!
(Statistics from university studies conducted into EV fires globally). On top of this, NRMA, Drive, and many other transport bodies involved with transportation are all over this thing, and have all come out with similar figures. Very very low numbers for EV fires. ICE ranging from 20 to 30 times more likely to catch fire than a fully electric vehicle.
