The one line from the above article that stands out to me is: "..... to create a vertically integrated lithium chemicals producer."
If I was a conglomerate chemical/ retail/ agribusiness company then I'd be taking a very close look at Arcadium as a possible acquisition option. To that end, a certain Rob Scott (from WA) might want to consider the strategic rationale of taking over such a "vertically integrated chemical producer" to add to his suite of businesses. In terms of ROI metrics, now would be a great time to bump up the value of his existing business by adding Arcadium to the stable.
Perhaps a scrip offer could be coming our way if Mr Scott casts his eye over this downtrodden company and realises there is huge potential there over the next few years??
