My understanding is that the next announcement will be the Half Yearly Report, due within the next couple of days (could be tonight or tomorrow night). We may (or may not) get some more insight into progress regarding the EPC during this announcement. In last year's Half Yearly, i believe KP2 provided updates and commentary on company achievements and company progress, so based on that, i am expecting an update on progress during the coming Half Yearly.
In terms of precisely when the EPC announcement will arrive, i think that is anyone's guess. It's a waiting game at the moment, and i think nerves are on edge for many investors due to the wait (mine included).
KP2 has some major and influential backers (Oman Sovereign Wealth Fund, SQM, including some seemingly influential business people), and the Chairman of KP2 (David Hathorn) is also a major holder (Top 4 in share holdings), so I am expecting that these influential backers will push for a successful deal. Hence, i am still backing KP2 to close the deal. I am holding tight for the EPC announcement, but only time will tell if the deal does get done.
