your pondering on SP on announce is the same concern as mine. Last coal sale was fully priced in, and SP actually went down after announce. But am not expecting any coal sale this year. 3-4 other announcements possible before end of year though to hopefully put a floor under current levels.
08 prices were in bull market, so don't personally expect similar price anytime soon, unless huge income stream is established. Today's market is skitterishand i believe is very sensitive to actual earnings. I think LNC need strong earnings (from GTL/UCG/EOR) for $5 price tag again.
I think the market is factoring in LEA #1, or JV with India.
