Don't loose sight of the fact, many OT times are foreshadows of the now and spiritual now.
I probably should have said Papal and not Vatican and their corruption is back to around the 100's. Keep in mind, they built there church on a false Rock, gates of hades prevailed BIG time when on the true Rock = zero of any kind.
