@Sweetsound - The NSW river gums were planted by the first person who 'took' a piece of native forest here and built a house - right on the border between two neighbouring plots - Trouble is they are probably more than 60m in height now and cost a fortune to 'take down'. Not my problem! I will let my heirs deal with the problem.
Re; CIMBALOM - probably related to the dulcimer, but very typical for Hungarian and Eastern European folk music.
Said neighbour: I saw their children grow up - long story, I recently found out that his wife left him - 2 kids are in Europe, only the youngest, a boy, is around from time to time; she was a highly-strung 'achiever' he a laid-back Italian, who kept 'renovating' their home and garden, had a great job etc.m we often had little chats, nice guy - don't know what's up with modern women . . . .
AND they - and the children - were friends with my deceased daughter and granddaughter when she visited here now over 12 years ago.
But that's life - I am happy these days, have new friends, and my other work is progressing, too.
Have a lovely and musical weekend, dear Sweetsound!
