    It's not obvious at all.

This is an interpretation of scripture by a part of Christendom. It's a gross error of understanding that renders the perfection of God into a state of imperfection after He enters His own Creation in the form of Jesus and then gets murdered by the little people He Created. God is also eternal and physical reality is not, the two can't mix.

Nothing absolutely perfect exists within the physical realm so you are declaring that God is not perfect and not eternal.

Christ represented the authority of God, He spoke with the authority of God, He was not literally God. The Bible declares this as does common sense and the slightest understanding of the nature of God.
