There are 2 types of delusion here:

1. Blind ideology and belief whatever NATO propaganda is throat throttling, the Domino theory to frighten the bejesus of the wobblers and the usual 'mad dog' Gadaffi type of propaganda on Putin. They fear Putin will launch the nuke because he is desperate. Why would Putin become desperate when the eastern front is collapsing? 2. Realities presenting the facts but prefer to counter with feel-good events hoping this could sway the public conviction of support and desperately test Putin's red lines to discredit him as a buffer.

I suspect behind the scenes both the Pentagon and British eq are explaining their intelligence and analysis of the risks and rewards of arming Ukies with long range missiles of which NATO operational expertise is required to fire those missiles thereby incurring the boots on the ground technical definition regardless if they can explain away the concept of Mercs volunteers.

Added to this is the Nov election! One opinion I heard is that the Russian economy is still growing while Europe is in deep trouble especially Germany's, this war of attrition is in Putin's favor. However, a rapidly falling crude oil may give another layer of complexity.

Putin is a LT strategist who is in control, US has a revolving POTUS with ST tactics that are completely opposite to the Ukie war rhetoric. Only the very optimistic can prescribe a success for the Ukies.
