My understanding is that the AISC that have been presented include subsequent conversion to carbonate, as described in both of the DFS documents (I pasted the relevant paragraph in an earlier post).
Afaict this is done to provide a more relevant comparison to other producers, showing the costs of producing the same end product: Li2CO3.
I haven’t looked at everything in great detail, but so far I cannot see any figures provided for the estimated AISC of only GLN’s chloride operation.
As per my earlier post. I suspect the break even carbonate price for GLN to be somewhere around the $9k-$10k/t LCE range…
Of course, even the figures from the company are all just estimates until actual production at scale is tested.
Imo I can’t see current prices persisting very long and think the even Ph 1 can be profitable.
Only time will tell!
