The emotional reaction you're displaying says a lot.

Whatever due diligence they did, it didn't prevent them from making a terrible move. Of course their intention was not to simply chip in to fund JZ, Pablo and family, but the reality is, that's what they've done. Whether they failed to do their due diligence or AGY lead them up the garden path, they took a terrible deal. No one is saying they are pip traders, but no one who is calm and sane fails to understand that wiping out most of your investment in a short time means you stuffed up. Even if hypothetically there was a crazy miracle and they ended up eventually making a profit, the timing of their investment was hideous. There's an absolute guarantee it will be several years at best until AGY will be producing an economically relevant quantity of product, and their investment is worth a fraction of what they recently paid.

Insulting me because I called it all correctly is as silly as it is irrelevant.

The bottom line is that ATL made a very, very bad move, so the 'ATL knows more than we do and it makes sense to blindly follow them' narrative makes absolutely no sense.

Even at the time this deal was made I said it was a brilliant deal for AGY and it was puzzling that ATL would make this move. But a short while later we all saw how disastrous it was. The point you seem unwilling to recognise is that ATL clearly made a bad move so it is a bad idea to use their judgement as any form of guidance, insight or reason for faith. It's a trivial amount for them, but they were blatantly fleeced.
