OMG! And there’s another investing fallacy. (I really find this one hard to understand)
Not selling because you’re worried about how much tax you’ll pay!!! Because it’s far better not to bank those profits and enjoy watching them evaporate turning into a massive loss. But hey! At least I didn't have to pay tax!
