It's quite possible if not likely that ABB will make it into the ASX 300 by the next rebalance in March. It's currently got the 304th largest market cap on the ASX. I'm not as experienced as some investors on here, so I'd be interested to know what usually happens when a company enters the ASX 300. Does it generally experience a bit of a boom due to index funds buying? I'm curious to hear predictions.
I've only had one other stock enter the ASX 300, Weebit Nano (WBT), and it rocketed up 200% to 300%. But that's a much more speculative stock than ABB, so wondering how much price movement ABB is likely to see in that instance.
