Xstrata were aware or new that there WAS GOING TO BE CLAIMS because the prize is so big that companies are going to come from everywhere and want a piece of the action. Phils tone was that this was all to be expected. he had an open mind and if the BFS comes in at the numbers they require then they have the option to aquire 50%, plain and simple. I got the feel that from X's point of view that nothing has changed and as i say this was all to be expected.
NKP may well have had an idea this was going to happen but of course till it does what else can they do, just business as usual and get on with it. This is just a step on the ladder to production. Getting more confident as time goes on.
