I am aligned with you on shares on issue, that has a bearing on the sp. Repeating myself, the market is forward looking, estimates an addressable market based on many factors, selling price, perceived customers preference, government regulations, etc and from that a market cap is estimated. Then depending on the number of shares on issue, a particular stock "settles" for a share price. The market is never wrong, until it is and it self corrects! A bloated share registry, everything else being equal, is a drag on the SP.
