I'm not arguing the point about WHY they have added the control that they are imposing in SA. I'm just telling you how it is.
What I was pointing out to you is that you are incorrect when you say power networks can't/won't control your export.
You could argue to SA power network your self about that - but they control the grid/network in SA, and it is their rules - if a new or upgraded system is installed, since July 2023, they have to have the capability of controlling PV export to the grid - this is FACT
Why do you think wholesale companies like AMBER charge negative feed in tariff during the day if you export solar to the grid - it's because they don't need or want it in peak solar - there is too much solar - hence Solar Sponge rates on network tariffs
Anyway - this has nothing to do with STX essentially - I can tell you when there is lack of solar generally and no wind - in SA - the wholesale rate of electricity can spike dramatically (into $dollars/kw, due to interstate transmission/purchasing on national grid) which is where I would see Peaking plant (gas) or otherwise would be very useful.
