Never be afraid to sell. When a stock is in a downtrend but I am still convinced the fundamentals justify a buy I just short a few. Sell first, buy back lower. Try it, it keeps you busy and over time you can trade back some or even all of your losses without spending 1c extra. Works for me and I am not a guru plus keeps you busy and your mind at full capacity. And when the tide turns as the fundamentals become too compelling to be ignored any longer the hard, long term effort will pay off. Took me 6 years from 2015 to get a few $ millions as a return, now just 3 years in the current cycle I expect the same again by end of 2027 or maybe a bit earlier.
