    scepticism is a normal necessity; cynicism is the consequence of mis/disinformation.

    I dispute the claim the writer made that mis/disinformation is a small fraction. perhaps quantitatively but not in the effect as media companies grab onto such fake news as a means of triggering readers/audiences. sensationalist outrage is the effect from magnifying such nonsense. and the worst of it all is in the political arena.

    why are political people so determined to use false information, aka lies, to supposedly benefit their profile? because it attracts people who want to believe lies.
