alas they couldn't stop many things but for the most part they didn't have the numbers, and much of the rep[air work didn't require legislation, but administration. something every CEO can handle. like ensuring invoices are checked before being paid.
but I don't recall dovif.... what was it the LINP wanted to change? was it regulatory to ensure appropriate probity checks were carried out on service providers? they allowed the growth of shonky operators.... if that was the aim to catch the shonkys I'm damn sure the Labs would support it. so when was this? 2020? tell me more mate.
