The recent announcement with the mental health group in Europe is worth thinking about. it states that the average time to diagnosis for Autism is 18 months. The goal for this group is to get the waiting period to 6 weeks. The group has 150 centres with 80 000 clients (all diagnoses not just autism) and is the fifth largest mental health group in Europe. Which autism diagnostic program would be most appealing? Constructing the Earlitec technology at all 150 centres and running staff needed to operate? Or having a questionnaire + blinklab result run on the sophisticated laboratory of the ubiquitous smart phone? I can see why they have partnered with blinklab. I think the cognea approach might speed up formal testing or be useful for remote diagnosis but it doesn’t have a role in the screening process as far as I can see.
