    Hi All

Thought that the 'movement' at E-max might warrant it's own thread.

Previously E-Max was marketing Euro-designed / Vmoto prodcut. 3 versions. VS1, 2 & 3. The V2 I believe is currently being 'backed out' in favour of the V2 Citi (ex F01).

Like all the Vmoto models, they had exchangeable batteries and 'fitted' with the push to slot into the battery exchange 'eco-systems' that Vmoto is associated with (such as at Vammo) and/or trying to market.

Enter Mark Wu who recently started at Vmoto as the E-Max marketing director and the range is seeing an (impending) shift to (include?) prosaically designed models that fit the apparent market demand of Africa (central and south) and MENA. Probably India as well. In addtion these models seem a good fit with some Euro segments like postal services etc.

They seem to be pushing 2 lines. The EB (electric bikes) line and the EM (electric mopeds/motorbikes) line.

So far we are gettin a glimpse of some of these modesl but going on the numbering, there seems to be some additional ones on the way. The
emax-ev.com site also features a video of the E-max EM-1.

We have seen the EM-1 and the EM-3, so I assume there isn an EM-2 about to drop.

We have seen an (un-numbered) EB model as well as the EB-4 model so again I assume there are other modesl on the way.

In relation to charging/powering these and Vmoto models, we know that Vmoto is launching rapid charging battery options in the next little while as well as the inclusion of charging sockets compatible with Car charging terminals / infrastructure.

As to how this will look, maybe we can take a cue from Insork. Not sure of the exact nature of the connection with Vmoto but there is one from what I can tell..

For example, they appear to be launching a 'cafe racer' version of the EM-1. And if I am right, you can see an example of what the charging socket will look like (like a petrol cap)

The "car charger" compatible facility together with the soon to be launched rapid charge battery are going to be a significant contribution to Vmoto's ability to offer access to a complete emobility eco-system and provide more opportunities for Vmoto to 'hook' B2C, B2B and B2G customers.

Well, at least that is my take on these latest developments.

EICMA happening in @5 weeks so it will be interesting to see how all this stuff is marketed. That is assuming thay want to go 'media mainstream' as opposed to a 'soft launch'.

Fingers crossed for the near to mid future. DYOR. Ha!

    Cheers
