There is a lot of argument about the relative health benefits of grass fed v’s grain fed beef.
Personally, I don’t think there is much difference health wise but there is a vast difference in the eating experience at times.
During droughts feedlots offer a way to finish cattle and get them to market instead of standing around just being kept alive till it rains.
Looking at the life of the animal they must be milk and two tooth to meet supermarket specs which means they will normally spend all of their lives on grass and spend a short time (70 to 100 days) on grain ration.
This guarantees good eating experience for the consumer.
