had a kleenmaid also. after 12 years the gearbox seal failed and water leaked into the motor.
I also changed the rotating dial once. it cost me $200, if I had a service person come and do it, would have been triple that.
they were all Maytag machines, and bordered on commercial.
I've now gone front loader and at a quarter of the price, I'm happy with it for now.
