That is one of the many advantages of modern wind and solar .
The installations can be used over and over again . Wind towers, the bases, the connections, the access roads etc remain . Every couple of decades the nacelle and blades can be replaced. The nacelle can be recycled or just refurbished. The blades are now moving toward being recyclable . As technology moves forward and efficiency improves, it is well worth upgrading this equipment periodically even before it reaches end of life . E.g. Solar panels have almost doubled their output in 10 years .
That way we avoid being locked into an old technology for 40-60 years like we are with coal and nuclear .
No one is driving a 50 year old car . We don't need to be operating a 50 year old power station.
Renewables can be replaced progressively with no grid interruptions. No waiting decades for big lumps of generation to be built . No taking big lumps of generation offline for months at a time for a service.
Switching to a renewable system which cleans up its mess as it goes , unlike coal and nuclear, is the go . A system that is fast to deploy and gets us to lower emissions the quickest . Maybe a better technology will come along eventually but by going with renewables now buys us time climate wise.
