Not directly related to LYC but there is reportedly a huge manipulation running on silver and supposedly hedge funds are trying to run down JP Morgan and send them broke on their short position. http://seekingalpha.com/article/240309-is-j-p-morgan-getting-squeezed-in-silver-market
Clearly the big end can distort the market, but they can't always guarantee the outcome.
