If you live in Sth. Aust. the only alternative is to send your kids to private schools.
As for the Ed.Dept. chief, fancy him (her/she/it/sh*t/ they/them/zhe/zher/sonny/Cher wtf) saying it's in the child's best interests that the school work closely with the family. Yet under the legislation the family won't have the final say, only the State.
