The answer is “all the fossil fuel generation facilities have to keep their output at a level to fill in the gaps of the renewables at any point in time.
ie They have to be able to supply the grid at a moment’s notice if the Ruinables Dip.
Inconsistency is the problem but kingy is a simple person who has no idea about reality.
