You go off on these analogies etc ,indignant that people would question what you yourself deem as the authority of the "church"
Someone dared to question its teachings, its authority
Not at all, but there is a difference between questioning and outright just parroting anti-CC bigotry and propaganda
If you are aware of what’s happening today even faithful Catholics are questioning especially up the top in Rome, we know the faith, anything agonist the faith we are obliged not to follow, not just by simpleton Catholics but scholars right up the top are questioning
Laid out when what and which concepts were changed so they could be discussed
Laid out what the bible says about the son of God,what Jesus said about the foundation of Christianity
What replies do i get back in return?
Most if not the majority of people are not properly formed to understand much of the bible especially in its right contexts, it's not a matter of just reading a verse at face value, but has to be interpreted in full context of the bible message and also in its historical context, not to mention in the same mindset it was written in, as 2000 years is far removed from people’s mindset of today especially with the bickering of the last 500 years
Can you honestly say you have the mindset of a Jew from the time of Christ, if then well I’m sorry, the bible wasn’t written with our mindset
Indignation,i cant believe you post all this anti catholic church stuff, the rants about jack chick etc that come up in your replies constantly,a person of whom i have never referred tok,nor is relevant to the conversation
Well then stop posting anti-CC stuff, its that simple, study history as bigotry and squabbling was a big thing at the reformation and you’re doing it right now not only with me but with follow protestants, things never changed, protestants squabbled with each other than even more so today, only the means have changed today its done on the internet, even more so with catholics
It is not a crime to question orthodox christianity its teachings its authority its history
Again, go for it, we Catholics do it all the time, even scholars up the top have issued correction to this current pope, no issue there, but like I keep saying there is a difference between that and bigotry
But if you do lol look out
It will be taken personally
I can assure you its not taken personally, this is your go to card when you get caught out
All the things and points I’ve made are fair and reasonable
In your eyes, remember many have different of opinion, even with the bible, there is an old saying, we see things as we are not as they really are
Just like in Jesus day and before and since, who and what we think of him and who he is as the son of God ,is a salvational issue, contrary to what most would have you believe on this forum
Like I said, people have different opinion, we see things as we are.
And most of all you are not a Jew with a mindset of the time of Jesus, the best we have is the historical data of what the early church believed, and you were not there and haven’t studied it to make an informed decision on it, all you are doing is covering what you believe. See things that have came down to you since the reformation
PS for your information
Only the CC has infallibly declared the Bible as the word of God, and its canon
