To show ownership of our new Energy Fuels (UUUU) shares/stocks, we will receive Direct Registration System (DRS) certificate electronically or as a physical letter? I am curious as I will be out of the country for the next couple of months, but my registered address is still in Australia.
That pdf (on page 31) talks about stamps and signatures, suggesting a physical letter. But it seems the entire point of the DRS system is to prevent owning pieces of paper to show ownership:Direct registration allows you to have your securities registered in your name—rather than in the name of a brokerage firm—without the need for a physical certificate, which could be lost or stolen, to serve as evidence of your ownership. While you won’t receive a certificate, you will receive transaction advice detailing any transactions, as well as periodic account statements, dividends, annual reports, proxies and other communications directly from the issuer or its transfer agent.
