A big benefit for DRE is certainly the location and importantly, right next door, Hastings is building a mine. The mine is expected to begin production by 2025. While the primary focus of the project is on rare earth elements, particularly neodymium and praseodymium (NdPr), there is significant potential for processing niobium as a by-product. Hastings has identified niobium within the project, and they are actively investigating the inclusion of a niobium processing circuit to enhance the multi-commodity recovery process (Australian Mining) (Hastings Technology Metals Limited).
