Anything can and does happen in the POS space..
Powers beyond us (and waves) move it in my view. The ONLY thing I ahve noticed looking at silver charts over the last decade is that recently we've had some kind of breakout, and the steps up and down are often (not always) in 50c lumps.
And currently we're at the 30.50 lump..
