in 20 years time - the shortfall in Oz power generation will be well passed.

what's the point in having arguments about a solution that is needed soon - and that one of the supposed solutions isn't possible to fill that time gap?

putting aside all the other issues - cost, locations, approvals etc etc -

the issue of inescapable import is timing

for timing - there's only one potential from memory - getting the South Koreans to build and commission ----- they are the only mob who can get things done fast

but, Oz thinks it needs the Westinghouse AP1000

I can't atm find the waiting list for the Westinghouse AP1000 - but, every bugger wants one that wants one ------------- so, guess what end of the queue that Oz would be at - and omg, guess at the price.

the timing------ is a problem ---------- a problem that makes nuke as a solution - a no go I believe.
