At the risk of sounding like a bragger if I sold 100,000 shares I'd be up for giving the Govt $50k in Cap Gain - why the hell would I do that when I'd prefer that $ to be invested and frankly I don't need the 1/4 mil at the moment!
I'd rather wait till I retire and that 50k might well be worth $100k or even $200k more and I'd pay far less CG tax upon selling it based upon my tax rate.
I like making money, not giving it to the Govt!
