I was watching/half listening to a CNN weather bloke talking about the hurricane being a Cat 5 a few days ago.

He mentioned something about Wind Shear and how this local anomaly would more than likely impact the hurricane and reduce its strength to a Cat 3.

And low and behold, all the bed wetting wailing about a Cat 5/worst hurricane imaginable didn’t appear.
