lol yeah u hit the nail spot on lol. reality is often very different from theory.

Unfortunately i've never worked in the field of securities regulation for a regulating body. Only practice as a litigation lawyer in civil matters. Heard stories from friends that government agencies such as the OPP, DPP, ASIC are jokes where their ranks are filled to the brim with overpaid, no talent staff.

Im also inclined to agree that ASIC is currently a joke of a body that currently lacks a lot of credibility in doing its job unfortunately.
