In my experience, letters of intent or mou's are a waste of space. Usually created as an attempt to defer attention to reality. Those docs mean zip in reality to sales. I guess they show interest but I haven't seen any that basically commit either party to anything.
A nice to have but that's about it. Imho & dyor
