Im looking forward to history repeating itself - except that I cant see the current GG doing her job and sacking Gillard. Too much of a Labour stooge and with lots of nice relationships with the Boyz.
The fact that Kerr sacked Whitlam makes him a hero in my view.
The Monarchy is certainly far more worthy of respect than the fools in Parliament today.
If anything I think Australia's politics has barely earned the right to autonomy given the sleaze we are seeing these days!
