Sub-Sahara releases positive Asmara drill results

Sub-Sahara Resources NL today released a number of selected significant Asmara drill results following the lifting by the Government of Eritrea of the suspension of exploration activities in Eritrea.

All these assays come from drilling completed before the September 2004 suspension order by the Eritrean Government and are from the Debarwa copper/gold deposit and the first significant results from the Gupo Gold deposit situated 8km north of Asmara city.

Debarwa Gold Highlights:

DEBD-029 intersected 17.16 metres at 8.53g/t gold.

DEBD-035 intersected 11.00 metres at 7.70g/t gold.

DEBR-059 intersected 14.00 metres at 6.21g/t gold.

DEBR-085 intersected 9.00 metres at 4.16g/t gold.

DEBR-D-053 intersected 6.96 metres at 13.48g/t gold.

Debarwa Base Metal & Gold Highlights:

DEBD-031 intersected 13.80m at 2.74g/t gold and 8.90pc copper.

DEBD-032 intersected 5.02m at 2.02g/t gold and 12.15pc copper.

DEBD-034 intersected 9.67m at 1.13g/t gold, 3.65pc copper and 9.16pc zinc.

DEBD-036 intersected 5.25m at 1.50g/t gold, 2.78pc copper and 12.24pc zinc.

DEBD-038 intersected 10.37m at 1.29g/t gold, 3.25pc copper and 7.21pc zinc.

DEBR-054 intersected 13.00m at 4.23g/t gold and 9.92pc copper.

DEBR-068 intersected 6.00m at 2.08g/t gold, 1.83pc copper and 9.20pc zinc.

DEBR-069 intersected 9.00m at 1.82g/t gold, 1.52pc copper and 5.12pc zinc.

DEBR-D-057 intersected 13.25m at 2.71g/t gold and 4.73pc copper.

DEBR-D-065 intersected 15.12m at 2.00g/t gold, 4.42pc copper and 8.23pc zinc.

DEBR-D-075 intersected 7.38m at 1.39g/t gold, 1.80pc copper and 4.35pc zinc.

DEBR-D-092 intersected 5.00m at 1.07g/t gold, 1.03pc copper and 10.51pc zinc.

DEBR-D-096 intersected 10.00m at 1.69pc copper and 9.37pc zinc.

Gupo Gold Highlights:

GG-001-RD intersected 38.5m at 2.12g/t gold.

GG-002-R intersected 26m at 1.03g/t gold.

Directors say the latest set of results for the Debarwa Main and South zones further confirms the continuity of strong mineralisation at all levels in the deposit.

They believe the results will contribute significantly to the geological understanding of the deposits.
