They would have based their required equipment off the other WE wells. Think you are right if this was the first well they would have pushed testing harder.
Also I don't think the test at LD1 really cared about leaving the well as a future producer but getting the best market bang at the time.
So they are being cautious about keeping the integrity of the well head so they can use it as future producer without trying to flow it over 100 etc
