GMD produces around 200,000 ounces and has a market capitalisation of $2.8 billion … great people … many ex Saracen/Northern Star
OBM has 150,000 - 200,000 ounces on the horizon for 12/18 months time … great people … led by former top NST mining engineer … has a $1.5 billion capitalisation
Huge new high grade underground potential around Riverina now
GMD really needs more growth than that which they outlined in Annual Report .. they need to ramp it up … there is a gold boom coming
Some big common shareholders on both registers (Paradice for exsmple)
Hawkes Point may be very happy with GMD paper, ‘if the price was right’
food for thought … if someone is going to make a corporate move at OBM … this marriage of GMD/OBM would be the one that feels the best for all parties imho
