If you’re looking for things to go exactly to plan and run perfectly smooth you probably shouldn’t be investing in small cap bios. Very rare to find one that delivers perfectly on promises and doesn’t engage in incredibly bad raises, it’s part of the game really.
As others have said, it’s very prudent and a very common strategy for these companies to raise capital prior to a binary event like this. Always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to capital management, I’d be more concerned over a management team willing to speculate on the unknown, if they went into these results with insufficient funds to keep the lights on if things didn’t go well.
