I resurrected his site as so many are posting on different sites that makes it confusing and also some are not worth reading.

It will come as no surprise to learn thatsolar panels are most effective when they receive direct sunlight, but direct sunlight isnot required for solar panels to generate energy. Shade, clouds, rain, and snow might reduce theoutput of a solar panel system, but both direct and indirect sunlight produceelectricity.
