At least you make sense from a possible investment perspective, even if far outside the scope of a mine at Colosseum.
Nevertheless, although there are a number of gold pits being developed as pumped hydros, are there any in production making money yet? Snowy River acts as a pre-cautionary tale although I know that EVN is dong this with Rawdon? and I have read of others whose names I forget.
I would trust a private initiative to be profitable over a Government initiative any day but that need not be the case.
