Agree that it’s a really positive step for the company to implement a dividend policy. Implied within this decision is that the board believe that positive cashflow and EBIT will be sustained into the future.
As you said, expressing that they will also pay special dividends with excess cash is also a sign of confidence that a 50% payout ratio may be a little conservative.
This story just keeps getting better and better IMO. I think the half year results are going to be terrific following a good August auction, what I hope will be a great Dec auction, as well as all of the other sales going through alternative channels that the company is keeping quiet about.
My prediction at this point is that we move to around 16-17c following the Dec auction results, and that we test the 22c mark following the half year results being announced in late Jan. All guesswork, but I suppose that’s what hotcopper is good for sometimes. GLTAH
