Right, I think this is the actual reason for the price rise. There have been several recent articles about Dubizzle (formerly EMPG) preparing for IPO of up to $1 billion next year with FDV being mentioned in this one. If that is successful then probably a rerating of FDV is also on the cards. Dubizzle owns 70 percent of Zameen with FDV having the other 30 percent. An IPO should give a good idea of how the market is valuing Zameen (currently zero based on the FDV share price!). Also pretty easy to see a situation where FDV sells its share of Zameen to Dubizzle.
