A Trump win would result in the highest possibility of steep tariffs on Chinese graphite or a retaliatory graphite export ban to the US.
a Kamala win maintains the status quo with 2026 tarrif increases and 2027 EV credits for ex china graphite drawing closer each day.
What does not make sense is the short position on graphite which is not ‘sector wide’. They Cleary want to get burnt hopefully Tesla offtake will do it.
