Our universe WAS created. It was created from the singularity by the Big Bang.
At least, that's the best current theory.
What caused the Big Bang and where did the singularity come from?
Cycles have beginnings, and there has to be something there, be it an energy field of some sort, or the fabric of space-time as Einstein described it, or something else.
If the universe is eternal, then God can be eternal.
The big unanswerable question is where did it all come from?
